Ever wondered what the chores look like with daily rotational grazing? Are you a hands-on learner and need to see a system in use to implement it on your own? Maybe you are like us when we first started and you've learned about the importance of rotational grazing, read Joel Salatin's recommendations but don't know how to implement it on your small farm.
Come do chores with us as we move our chickens and cows around our pasture daily. Learn what you need to put this system into practice, the nuances that go into the amount of space you give each animal and how to manage your pasture for optimal growth and organic matter. We rotate our cows approximately 3 days ahead of our chickens to help with fly population. We've been rotationally grazing our animals for 3 years now and have learned a lot! We are happy to share our knowledge and help you determine the best set up for your situation.
We are only taking 4 attendees per date so that everyone can be as hands on as they want and we can answer specific questions to everyone's unique situation.
If you're interested in learning about rotational grazing but can't attend a Friday morning, email us thelivinglandranch@gmail.com! We will try to accommodate a date that works for you so you too are confident rotational grazing!
Choose 1 date that works best for you. Chores start at 8am, account for 1 hour of class so we can take our time explaining and answering questions. Cost is $20/person. Children 12 and up that are interested in learning as well are able to sign up, but a parent/guardian must attend with them. Children under 12 are free and parents are responsible for keeping them safe in the pasture during chores.
